Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

If you're looking for somewhere to go on a date, I could highly recommend the open air theatre. You can have a picnic, drink wine throughout the performance, snuggle under a blanket, watch a play about marriage {which was a funny coincidence as Much Ado About Nothing is about the week leading up to a marriage, and we get married next week} and there are fairy lights everywhere and the sun sets behind the trees behind the set. Beautiful.

Oh I love Much Ado About Nothing! Does this continue through the summer? We will be in London for a few days in August.

Neat set. have been myself in the past a couple of times, including A Mid-summer Nights Dream which was perfect for the setting. Magical.

You do know that it is strictly forbidden to take photographs during the performance, don't you? Not only is it rude and distracting to those sitting near you, its also potentially dangerous. If your flash goes off and distracts one of the actors and they miss their footing, thats an actor who may have to spend some time in hospital.

That looks fabulous! I'm going to have to look into getting some tickets methinks. ..and a date.

Well, I took the photos with my phone, which doesn't have a flash and as M, who was sat beside me, didn't notice I had taken them, I don't think anyone (audience or actors) were distracted by me.

To be honest, the planes which kept appearing behind the stage with the head lamps shining were more distracting than any photography could ever be.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I highly recommend it, date or not!

Oh yeah... that's a great idea.
I haven't really tried to watch in an open air theater anyway... I think that scene from Slumdog Millionaire where the kids were stealing from the audience's bags freaked me out a bit, haha!
