Why did you go the Arse? They are scum.

  2. Yeay! I've never been to the football, how was it? Fun? J is an Arsenal fan, so I am too by default :) Are you?

  3. It was my first ever football match too and I had great fun. M is actually a Liverpool fan but he loves football so he enjoyed the match. It was also interesting to go inside the stadium we live next door to!

I have a generous family member who loaned a pair of season tickets as they were away for the weekend.

You don't seem to be watching much of the football.

  5. Well, when light is burning on architecture like that it is hard not to be distracted...

I could post some of the football photos but if you were that interested I imagine looking at the efforts of the professional photographers at pitch side would be a better bet...

  6. Oi anonymous, less of that please. There is only one Arsenal. Photo's are excellent btw, really bring out the architecture of what is a beautiful stadium and the '1-0 to the Arsenal' couldn't be better. My next game there is Arsenal v Liverpool so hopefully M will be crying into his beer ;-).

  7. Yeah Arsenal! Was that at Emirates? That makes me jealous of all the British people I know/"know."

  8. Thanks jermac! Hope you have a good time on the 21st. Personally I will hope it is you crying into your beer but at least you will be in a beautiful stadium!

Yep, it was the Emirates. We are 'fortunate' enough to live next door to the stadium so it was nice to visit our neighbours...

  9. I wish we had a quality football league in the States so I could watch a decent game every once in a while. The best I get is watching the European teams that come through Texas during their pre-season tours.

My brother has been mad for the Gunners for a few years now, and I've decided I really like them, too. They're fun to watch when they're on, but they can be just devastating when they're not.

I am glad to see Liverpool finally look to have got their act together. (I'm a Torres fan, so I have to like them at least a little.) I was getting a bit worried about them.

My boyfriend has never been much of a football fan, but I think he may be coming around. He's recently taken to following Fulham. He grew up with Clint Dempsey and played against him when they were kids. I'm hoping I can convince him to go to the World Cup with me in 2010 or 2014. Or both, I'm not too picky.
